Syd Barrett Paintbrush

This is a Pro Arte series C paintbrush owned and used by Syd Barrett during the late 1990s at his home in Cambridge, purchased at the auction of his estate at Cheffin's Auction House in Cambridge in November 2006. This was used by Syd to paint the paintings he was in the habit of then destroying.

The brush retains on its shaft several splodges of paint left there by Syd. It has been fully certificated both by Cheffins Auctioneers and by Tracks, the leading dealers in rock memorabilia.
